Four of us are making our first trip to the Big Apple Nov. 9-12 and have chosen the Fairfield Inn in LIC because of the outrageous rates in Manhattan. The hotel is near Line 7 (33rd St.) and the hotel will send a shuttle to pick us up at the subway stop. Could we take the Air Train/Subway to this stop or would we be better off just taking a taxi and splitting the cost? We'll be arriving JFK on AA nonstop from SAN around 4:30 PM (God willing) and hope to have time to get into the city for dinner that evening if time permits. Thank you for any advice/suggestions.
