Not sure about BKK, but used agoda for HK. Booked and cancelled 2-3 times before. No problem getting full refunds from them.

I haven't used Agoda before, so I was a bit nonplussed to get an Agoda voucher for the hotel rather than a hotel confirmation. Are we going to be ok when I get to Chiang Mai and try to check in to a heavily booked hotel?
