Since my Blue card has no annual fee, I've just kept it, even though I recently received the SPG Amex card. A few weeks after I received the SPG card, I called Amex and had most of the credit limit moved from the Blue to the SPG card, because I have no plans to use the Blue card ever again.

Even though I've had the Blue card for 5 years, I don't believe that it is doing anything for my credit score. I'm an authorized user on my husband's Amex, and Amex shows me as a cardholder since 1978, before I even met my husband! But I figure that holding onto the Blue card probably doesn't hurt anything either.

I had accumulated a few MR points with the Blue card, the limited kind that accrue with a free card, so I applied them to an Amazon purchase.
