Clearly a mistake was made. Could've been a misunderstanding. Could've been an agent who accidentally pressed the wrong key. It happens. Nothing we can do for you. You need to call AA and find a sympathetic ear. Your daughter's record (PNR) should be documented with everything that happened. In my experience, AA is pretty good about fixing errors like this. But flying off the handle is unlikely to help.
