Often in Europe car rentals' LDW do not cover the full value. For example, the ldw may not cover 800 euros. Some agencies offer a super ldw that provide full coverage. Credit cards often provide coverage but the rental companies will try to persuade you to buy their policies. I look at coverage, cost and compare my tolerance for hassles over cost and coverage in order to decide.
