Renting an automatic from Hertz for 3 days. One way from Rome to Venice. Making multiple stops along the way(Florence, Bologna, Pisa, Bolzano etc). More of hoping for a scenic drive. I have been told potential of nicks and scratches driving in Italy. I dont want to be stuck with a bill at the end of the trip when returning the car. Does LDW/LIS mean total coverage? Deductible?

Question: Do I need additional insurance when I go to the front desk? (LDW, LIS), full comprehensive coverage?
