Never had issues with the front desk, they bend over backwards - so does concierge and bell boys and girls.

Location: Taxis are always available, to Jing'an around 20 mins and 40 CNY. Ferry to Puxi in walking distance, access to Cool Docks and South Bund with a 20 minute walk.
Agree with the above. I had a great stay at the IC Expo last year. Just stayed at the Marriott City Center and it was good, just a notch below the Expo.
