There is also - more importantly - a bug that will not allow PNR's to "accept" valid passport information despite the website being updated by the traveller.

We got checked-in more or less OK at LAS. Got a story from an agent that the reason we couldn't check-in online was due to the plane change in BRU. Something about two different countries.... Not sure how that explains anything.

My other half was given an aisle on the SN flight. I got another "this is not a boarding pass" for the SN flight. I asked about this at the EWR UC and was told there is a "system glitch" and this "happens all the time." No worries, she said, just get your boarding pass in BRU.

One thing that is obvious since 3/3 is that few front line employees know how the new systems work (or don't) and feel free to just throw out some kind of half-baked explanation to get rid of the customer. Maybe that's the only thing they CAN do under the circumstances.
