2 to 3 days? I could pack for 4 to 5 days easily in that REI overnighter.
I do 4 days on the job and wear a full suit to work every day with nothing more than a rolling laptop overnighter and a Tiny Rick Steves shouldered euro/flight bag. (no extra shoes but its a worth while trade off).
Stop the maddness...if you are flying, travel with less....i am sick and tired of all these "professional travelers" slowing down boarding times, delaying flights, fighting for over head bin space until i am asked to "check" my fricken laptop bag if im on a carrier that i dont have status on.
Its not cool for the guy who essentially doesnt even have a rollerboard (laptop and shoulder bag) to check his bags because of all the "advanced flyers" who have more status bringing on bags big enough to pack for a 2 to 3 week trip on their 2 and 3 day trips. (I always refuse and put it under the seat...then sit there with the joy of knowing i have placed myself at risk for a Deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolis in the name of saving my luggage from destruction just so the rest of the DBs could shove their giant 22inch rollerboards in the overheads).
Seriously guys....get a grip please! I am Chairman on US air/first class but i have enough respect not to do that to the lesser flyers...ill ask you to do the same please or just check your luggage.
Having said that, this REI overnighter looks like a GREAT bag for the weekend/vacationer 4 to 5 day travelor.
