I own the Motherlode TLS Weekender, it's a much larger bag than the REI Overnighter (3300 vs. 2075 cubic inches.) Two totally different bags really, like comparing an 18" to a 22" rollaboard. Whenever I've utilized all of the space offered in the Motherlode TLS Weekender it ends up being too heavy. All of that weight being carried on my back gets tiresome very quickly.
