According to AirNZ's website, the Gold Amex version of this card currently has the best earning rate for Air points and Status Points: 1.5 Air points per $100 spent and 1 status point per $250 spent. $105 annual fee, though. (All $$ is in NZD). None of the offers I saw provided huge sign up bonuses, but most of them will allow you an advance of 100-200 Air points that you can use and then repay later.
