I have never been on a UX flight, since the merger, that has actually accurately communicated a delay.
Once, I flew YQB-EWR on UX, the flight showed as on-time on ua.com, the mobile site, email notification and...on airport screens.
This was an 11:10 AM departure, and when we finally boarded at 3:40 PM, all the screens were showing "on time" despite the fact that it was 3.5 hours after the scheduled departure.
This is not a complaint about delays, they happen for necessary reasons, often outside the airline's control.
But UX flights deserve at least a minimally effective form of communication to customers regarding delays.
Whenever I have delays on AE or a Delta RJ, communications are exactly as effective as on mainline.
Why does it have to be any different on UX?
