Flights with the Shortest Distance Between Continents
Hi FTers,

I was reading an airliners.net trip report (http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...d.main/227690/) about flights in Newfoundland, and was wondering, which are the shortest flights between mainland North America and Europe? From St. John's to Heathrow? But then how about from the Caribbean to Europe?

Or, how about between any other pair of continents? From North America to Africa, would it be BOS-SID (Sal, Cabo Verde)?

If you have a bit more time on your hands, how about including and excluding IST in responses...
