Hmm...it's kinda confusing.

But firstly, did you and Miss () ACTUALLY stay at the room? Because it's clearly stated in the T&C that you must be the guest staying in the room in order for you to get the marriott points=) If you have not, then I don't think the hotel reception/duty manager did anything wrong.
