I've never noticed UC seats being held back, including 12 A/K on 747s or bassinet seats. True some do appear closer to the flight date, but I think that's because people with flexible tickets change. It does pay to keep looking and also to do OLCI at T-24. Certainly do OLCI because if you don't then seats for LHR flights are released at T-13.
