I was entering the RCC in EWR a few years ago. standing in front of me was an elderly couple who were being rudely told by the agent that their F tkt would not get them in. The Wife asked where they should wait for their flight & the agent told them "out by the gate w everybody else". I was pretty shocked at how rude the agent was to an obviously elderly & confused couple. I was about to say something when I realized the man was Warren Christopher (the ex US Secretary of State among many other things). I had never guested a stranger into the club but I asked the agent if she had any idea who they were & told her she should let them in (in LAX they would be sent right to the IFCL w every other VIP). She rudely told me to mind my own business so i left the club to find a supervisor. I explained the situation & he told me he would take care of it. 10 min later it was nice to see this couple walked into the club by a couple "suits" from UA and fawned over exactly the way they should have been & would have been at any other station.
