Sean Wang - welcome to Flyertalk. You've had some useful advice to which I can't really add much, and I hope that you'll find a way round these bureaucratic hurdles.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that you are supposed to get your Schengen visa from a country that you actually intend to visit. For a single visit it should be the main destination or your point of first entry if there is no main destination. If you're planning several short trips then any of the countries on your list should do; just because you got your visa from the French Embassy doesn't mean you are then committed to making France the destination of your first trip.

If you don't succeed in getting your visa then just remember two things:

1) You're young - plenty of time to visit the rest of Europe
2) There is lots to see in the UK
