As a regular AA passenger I can assure you that you will get 210 points per long distance trip on AA in First, I had some from 2 weeks back for example. There is also the general link mentioned above by angatol.

However you can easily see if the sector has a 2000 mile leg, when you click on the + sign by Flight Details in aa.com. Also if you download the entire PDF timetable on the US version of AA.com, the mileage and available routes are clearly shown. And therein lies your problem. Generally speaking RDU flights are going to take you to DFW or ORD, which splits you into 2 sectors well below 2000 miles. I can't think of any RDU flights that are over 2000 miles (apart from London). So you will need a positioning trip to say JFK or MIA and then hop over to the west side.

The one exception is a seasonal flight from RDU to Las Vegas, which is 2026 miles.

One option is RDU-JFK-SEA, which is 270 TPs for £359, and there will be cheaper options too.
