does the front desk ever get annoyed by this? can they retaliate by e.g. taking away upgrade?

My husband and I just stayed and 1 night of the stay was in his name the others in mine - there were no problems with check-out / check-in for the different reservations but it was credited to my acct as just 1 stay with all of the nights included
