I wonder if you could coordinate with the concierge to pre-purchase? If the price is the same it's worth a try. Then you wouldn't have to worry about shipping - the tickets would be there waiting for you.
Note also that the Discover Card quarterly 5% bonus right now is "online shopping", up to $1500 in purchases, and there's no foreign transaction fee. So if you happened to find someplace that takes Discover, and processes the transaction online (not via someone keying in your card number in a traditional store terminal) that might help.
