A point of clarification:
It is a confirmed flight change - not confirmed "standby."
It follows the record locator (i.e., original request time/day, and within your tier status)
It wouldn't surprise if the incorrect terminology may have been responsible for the conflicting answers. Once the word "standby" was thrown into the mix, it may have confused the issue, just as it sort of did here (not as much, because we know better, of course
)
