Yes, in terms of OW, you have limited or no options. Looks like your best bet is *A especially because AFAIK, KM is being courted to join them. Or fly OW to FCO and get an AZ ticket for less than £100 return, but I believe you'd have to fly very early because, I if I recall right, AZ departs for MLA around noon. The problem is that LH low economy yields almost no points.

Last year I sussed out all options of getting a cheap OW trip from Lisbon to Malta, including low cost airlines and ended-up with LIS-LIN on TP, LIN-CTA on Meridiana, plus catamaran to Valletta for roughly $200. Not the cheapest option, but I stopped in Milan for New Year's eve (serious contender for worst travel decision I made in my life) and on Catania (lovely) on the 1st and got to know two more cities.
