I've stayed at the Moevenpick a bunch of times and it's fine. Starling is my favorite but it's probably more expensive.

From the Moevenpick you can walk to a shopping area (a mall-looking thing) towards IKEA and eat at reasonable prices but they close very early (6pm I think and 7 or 8pm on Thursdays).
