Website slow on e-mails?

I rarely fly DL but am tomorrow, so I have no knowledge of this "issue." Does Delta's website send out e-mails (boarding passes, notifications, etc) REALLY slowly? I checked in online at noon and had a boarding pass e-mailed to me. An hour later it hadn't come, so I went back online and had the boarding pass texted - the text showed up immediately. Fine.

I actually got the e-mailed boarding pass 7 hours later!?! During this time I also e-mailed my itinerary to a couple people. Some hours later, it hasn't shown up...

Is this typical of DL? Not a big deal but annoying.
