Your friends not staying with you will NOT be allowed in the hotel during the period the streets are blocked off on new years eve. Make sure every person that is staying in your room is included in the total on your reservation. If the room is only booked for two people the front desk will only issue two keys and the people holding the keycards will be required to show them to the police if you leave the hotel to get back in the area as well as the hotel door guard.
You will also only get two breakfasts a day comped. They are very strict on that rule. However you can skip breakfast one day and then get four the next day.
