Brazilian Passport Expiring in Jan, Do I need to review before going to France/Italy?
Hey guys,

My wife's Brazilian passport is expiring on 1/30/2012. We are trying to plan a last minute trip to Italy/France Nov21-Dec2.

Does the whole 3 months validity after last day of trip for passport apply to her? I dont see any issues on http://www1.interno.gov.it

But on the state department site, it states: "The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay."

Key word is "SHOULD".

It's just a pain to take a day off, fly to city with a Brazilian consulate and get this sorted before our trip.

Anyone have any ideas?
