Amex contracts with pretty much all the same tow companies as AAA - from my experience the Amex service is superior...one example I had from a few years ago...AAA won't pay for a tow if you drive yourself into some deep snow and need to get pulled out...Amex will credit you $100 for the tow
I've used the Amex service for jump starts and tows and have never looked back.
