As to the OP's subject I'd stay away from the window if possible and go with the middle aisle seat. There really isn't much to look at except for during landing which while nice is far from the best view of Israel.

Not to be anti semtic or anything like that, Israelis are more aggressive than average. On this flight I prefer sitting next to an empty seat if possible.
