At $1.19 to $3.49 per minute to call an Indian or US landline or cell phone number with an account from some countries such as the US -- rates which I have noticed as part of reviewing expenses submitted for reimbursement of phone calls while international roaming is enabled -- using a non-Indian SIM may compare quite unfavorably (in cost or service reliability) to a local prepaid SIM being used for the same calls.
