You can choose the "redeem for flights" option which is based on the actual fare and you don't have to worry about availability of award seats. For this option, the number of miles will go up or down depending on the price of the airfare.

Another option that most people would prefer is to transfer the points to certain airline (i.e. AA to redeem on Oneworld partner Qantas). You didn't say where you are moving from so depends where you are, you will have to pick the best airline program to transfer to. You get 5,000 bonus for every 20K points transferred. You should have enough for 2 business class seats and a lap baby. The redemption chart is fixed so it doesn't matter when you travel but availability and surcharges/fees will vary depending on which program you choose.
