Flights to/from Japan have free hard liquor but all other destinations, including onward flights to SIN, BKK and ICN, this must be paid for. As noted, wine and beer is free. Just flew IAD-NRT-SIN and back SIN-HKG-EWR and had to use my 1K vouchers on the NRT-SIN and HKG-EWR flights for the hard stuff. (I did get one freebie during the final hours of the HKG-EWR flight because the FAs had closed the bar accounts...or something to that effect.

(EWR-HKG is a PMCO route by PMCO aircraft and crews. The flight route is indeed TATL even going to TPAC.)
How could it ever be considered TATL? The plane generally heads up to Ontario then Manitoba heading westward as it flies north to Alaska, then across the Bering Sea and down the coast of Russia and China. With the exception of a possible climb out over the Atlantic coast, that ocean plays no part in its routing.
