If I had to eat out in the area, this is where I would be heading - especially given the time of night when you're planning to arrive to eat. Further travel time will only add to the lateness.
My only other suggestion would be to head west towards Bray.... The Fat Duck will be booked, you may get in at the Waterside Inn.

My friend lives in London - however, I just assumed that it would take forever to get into the city and then get to the restaurant.
I'll look into Bray.
