I'm surprised no one has responded yet and I'm afraid I won't be much help. I last spend an afternoon in AC in July 2010. As I recall, there wasn't much to do except shop in the market and enjoy a Cusqueña or two at a sidewalk café. We found some really nice chifa, but unfortunately I don't recall the restaurant's name.

I'll be visiting again next May (with about 20 undergrads in tow) so I hope someone can provide answers to your questions.
