I looked at both threads and also trip advisor but I was looking for a recommendation from someone that knows both hotels. The rate I got is the same for both hotels. I like the IC Madrid but worried that it is too far from the museums and old Madrid. Westin is closer to the sights and museum but is a much bigger hotel which is a bit of a turnoff.
