We were in building 4 in room 4511 which is a King bed ocean view room. The suites next to us in 4512 and 4611 had significantly larger balconies than the rest of the rooms from what I could see. But I don't know about upgrading into them as a Plat. We were willing to pay to upgrade into them as a Gold and were told that they were both occupied for our 2 night stay (it appeared they were). The regular balconies should be fine for 2 adults and 1 child, maybe you can ask for an extra chair. We had a really good view of the Black Rock ceremony from our room.
