I have the Citi Dividends which gives me 5% cash back this quarter on Macy's, electronics stores, and toy stores. Citi defines electronics and toy stores as "stand-alone merchants" that sell electronics and toys, respectively. What are "stand-alone merchants"? Does that mean a brick and mortar store? I tried SMing Citi asking if an online hobby distributor like horizonhobby.com (which sells radio control cars, planes, etc) would count, and they said that the billing determines what counts (ie, didn't get an answer). Anybody know if online-only merchants count?
