Delta and American already offer free beer/wine. I heard from some sources that starting Nov 1st US Airways will offer complimentary beer/wine during meal times.

It now appears United is the last holdout for long haul international service on trans atlantic routes. I think alcohol is free on trans pacific services on UA.
