This is a oft-repeated and contentious issue. It's not even split along the "kids-in-J" vs "i-paid-to-sleep" lobbies.

I think the general feeling is, if you want lounge access with your family, fork out for the right class of flights.

Sadly for newcomers, it can feel a little "cliquey", and leads into a torrent of what you may feel is unfriendly.

Firstly, I bid Welcome, and don't let in inevitable posts on this thread dissuade you from sticking around.

A lot of people on this forum fly far too often for their own health, and are not really aware of classes behind Club World, so couldn't imagine the problem.

You'll be best off unsubscribing from this thread and instead look into maximising your flights so your entire family can be silver, and you can get GGL (mega-Gold, where you get carried into the lounge in a sedan chair and flowers are scattered in front of you and you proceed past mere plebs).

Other contentious issues are, but not limited to,
* Electronics and their use on the ground
* Babies in First Class
* EU261 compensation for cancelled flights
