I am a huge fan of EK, but putting aside the actual comfort of the aircraft since we could go in circles about that one for hours, look at the flight schedules.
You fly to KBL right? When I used to fly into KDH, I could get a direct EK flight into DXB, and be on the early morning flight to KDH. Lufthansa would make me sit around in FRA for 6-8 hours between my flights.
Same deal for Southern Africa- another frequent destination for me. First of all, they fly into places LH won't go- Harare, Luanda, etc. and I don't have to spend a day stuck in the airport in FRA.
