Was already Gold on Delta when I moved to Edinburgh. Flying KLM and Air France almost exclusively and just made platinum.

Two Questions:

1. What Choice Benefit? SWUs seem pretty useless - especially when I rarely set foot on a Delta flight.

2. Should I switch to Flying Blue? Moving back in a year - so would hate to have miles on two different programs.

What is the best way to get ugprades when your status is on Delta and you are on a Skyteam partner?
