Interesting story behind that! I went to a pre*launch/thank you meal when the Marriot launched and the developer told how the LDDC wanted £1M for the right to build there. He said he'd take if off their hands for nothing - and they agreed! Took ages, but they did WIQ, the hotel, and the leisure/cinema complex behind.
