This is so strange. I donated 20,000 miles that were due to expire out of frustration at never successfully having booked an award (it was either not available or more expensive in taxes and surcharge than just straight up booking a flight with a competitor). I just checked into my account to see whether I had any miles left, and noticed that I was at negative 20,000!

So strange to find this is a recurring issue, and that double deductions from charity donations STILL haven't been fixed. The OP was from 8 years ago!

So they'll undo the mistake if I contact them? If anyone who has experienced this is still around, what's the process? I've gotta admit, if it's at all cumbersome I'll just let that account rot, I'm disinclined to ever deal with AF again for a whole host of reasons, and going negative for having been charitable is another big one.
