Pretty sure that after around 7.30pm M-F and all weekends DLR trains from Bank do stop at WIQ.

As for being quieter in the evening, that depends on where you compare it to. Certainly the West End, but I'd say it's busier than the City in the evenings and weekends.

Also if you want to escape the polish and shine of the wharf, you can go into Poplar and try Noodle Street, only about 5 mins walk from the Marriot for really tasty and authentic asian cuisine, but at half the price you'd pay in the Wharf. Or if you want a good India meal, try Lime, about a 10/15 min walk away.
