I stayed 4 nights in late Sept and had a very good stay. The worse thing is the coming and going to the hotel, the traffic is gridlocked from before the end of the tram line to almost the hotel. Some taxis refused us I guess for this reason. Taxis are very inexpensive but you can walk faster.

Many high-end restaurants and quite a few basic eateries right outside the door in a pedestrian zone. We had 2 breakfasts included and the buffet is excellent, look for the larger plates and put your order for eggs in first. Great terrace with view of the Bos and bridge all the way down to the Golden Horn.

There's a restaurant called Kitchenette within 200 feet that has a great breakfast with an equally good view of the water. Starbucks is nearby in the ped area, but didn't open until 9AM. Another Starbucks is down the main road near the potato stands. It was open early. There's also another breakfast spot on the main road in front of hotel but also after 9AM.

We took a dinner cruise that picked up and dropped off on a dock near the Mosque. The Ortakoy Mosque is undergoing renovations and is completely covered.

We were disappointed with Ferriye next door, steak was served raw and had to be returned. They were very rushed.

The hotel has boats picking up and dropping off at its own dock, but due to waves transfers looked shaky. There is no ferry service from Ortakoy to the sights.

There's some noise from the alley that is the auto and limo entry way to the hotel, Zuma, and Anjelique lots of activity until 3AM.

The room, bath and beds were excellent, not dated at all as some said. The rain shower pressure made you want to stay forever.

Unfortunate that it is far from the Sultanhamet in terms of traffic. A taxi to Taksim square was around TK10 where you can pickup the Greyline tours.

If you can get the Swisshotel or Hilton, you'll avoid some traffic but you won't have the Ped area of Ortakoy right outside your door.
