I believe that it was originally L class, but things change ... :-( It was a trip back from the Superbowl and I went up to the gate with a friend who had gone with me and asked them to put us on standby for an earlier flight... she got us on, but my Aeroplan number didn't seem to make the boarding pass.

Tried to appeal it via mail to the regular channel and via the Elite desk and both of them declined it due to it being a non-eligible fare class. :-(
