Couldn't believe it myself so I followed up with the person and they said that they were the one who called Chase as they realized the $95 fee was about to hit and that their policy "was always not to allow personal transfers, but that it was never enforced and now they're going to start enforcing it."

I don't actually know what's what but if you're about to consolidate your points up to the Sapphire Preferred card so that you can transfer to travel partners it may be worthwhile doing it sooner than later.

Here's to hoping they don't ever discontinue that. I will miss all the UR points I acquire for 1c/pt from friends, family, and colleagues
