Update:

The bag has arrived and is indeed a very nice carry on bag for long flights or when you need an emergency set of clothes with you in a nice bag.

It does a few things better than a lap top bag as it has a huge open center area where you can pack as you wish (instead of being all broken up the way lap top bags are).

It will fit under the seat or in the over head bin on ANY AIRPLANE in service.

Its perfect for a bottle of water, snacks, headphones, phones, chargers, batteries, ipad, buisness cards, pen/pencils, boarding pass, etc with still enough room left over for one or two change of clothes (by two i mean two shirts/two underware/two socks...as i can re-ware my pants if need be)...and on top of all that, i managed to also get my laptop into it (although if i were carrying my laptop i would most assuredly put the lap top in something else since my laptop has to come out of a "buisness professional" type of bag at a clients site...this would not suffice. For casual travelers on infrequent trips, it certainly would work to throw a lap top in with your snacks/drink/ipad/toilitres/prescription meds/chargers etc)
