The seat number doesn't change after check-in in MMB. You need to go through the check-in process online to see the actual seat assignment.
In our case we were given BPs in different rows of CW (ORD-LHR) and the agent at HNL could not do anything about it.
Maybe it's different now with the JBA in place.
I, however, still prefer not to do online check-in for complex itinerary...
