I am currently a GE and may not have enough status points (SPs) to requalify for GE or G. Does the "soft landing" from GE that I have read about still exist? ie if I do not earn enough SPs to retain GE I will automatically drop to G for the next 12 months even if I don't have enough SPs to attain G? Any help with this appreciated. May mean the difference of buying another flight or not (and since I'm in the UK could be costly).
