'Half' checked in on BA (and AA) flight, should I expect problems... ?

Am currently in Austin, Texas and due to fly back to London later today via Dallas.

The first leg of the flight is on an AA codeshare and the second leg is on BA (all booked through BA.com on a single PNR).

OLCI on BA.com took me through to AA.com where I went through the check-in procedure and appear to have completed check-in for the AUS to DFW leg of the flight. The PNR used appears to be a separate AA one and there is no mention of the second leg of the flight.

Going back to BA.com and specifically trying to check-in to the second leg (by clicking the 'check-in now' button next to that segment in MMB) just takes me through the same routine.

The BA site says both legs of the flight are confirmed and still has my seat requests logged.

I assume I will need to sort this out at the airport but was wondering whether this was normal for BA flights starting with an internal AA flight?

Also, am I going to have a problem trying to get my luggage checked-in to go direct to London? I really don't want to be messing around in DFW trying to collect it and then getting it checked back in... Nor do I want to be left wondering whether my bags will make the second leg of the flight.

Any advice on how best to get this sorted when I get to the airport and what I need to watch out for so as not to lose my bags?

Thanks

Matt
